An interesting tag match has been signed for “The Ghost of You Clings…” in Porterdale, GA on May 4th. The Colony of Fire Ant & assailANT comes in with 1 point, as they take on Jigsaw & The Shard who come into the match with 0 points. The Shard was one of the GEKIDO members responsible for damaging Fire Ant’s leg at “Chikarasaurus Rex 2012”, while he and Jigsaw have done damage to it since. assailANT too was apart of that initial attack, but has obviously made amends with his new partners and is making it work. However, he and The Shard have history as teammates, so we’ll see if anything comes of them tussling in this match. Needless to say, it’s going to get personal in the Empire State of the South. Which masked duo will end the weekend one step closer to a Campeones de Parejas shot?
In February, Green Ant was able to make the current Grand Champion Eddie Kingston submit. It’s rare to see Kingston be put down in CHIKARA these days, especially in singles encounters. Green Ant was able to do, and in winning has earned himself a shot at Kingston’s title. The match was set to take place in Orlando, FL back in March, but due to some unusual circumstances, the match never occurred. Kingston was able to make his way through Hallowicked this past Saturday, so the previously scheduled bout will finally take place. Can lightning strike twice for the Emerald Patriot of Pain, or will Kingston successfully defend the Grand Championship in his 11th defense?

Ants, ants everywhere! At “The Shoulder of Pallas” on March 6th, The Colony team up with Frightmare to take on Soldier Ant and The Colony: Xtreme Force. The Xtreme Force (Missile Assault Ant, Artic Rescue Ant, and Orbit Adventure Ant) made their debuts two weekends ago when CHIKARA made it’s Florida debut. In their debut, Artic Rescue Ant was able to defeat assailANT in an Atomicos bout. The night after, they lost thanks to Soldier Ant submitting to Ophidian. Keep in mind this was after the Xtreme Force left Soldier Ant to fend for himself after brawling with the other Batiri members out of the area. Director of Fun Wink Vavasseur who put the Xtreme Force together of course blamed Soldier Ant for the loss, so we can see that once again Soldier Ant is heading a team that he does not get along with. The Colony have had a fairly successful 2013 thus far and have made the switch from Soldier Ant to assailANT quite well. Frightmare is an odd man out, but has teamed with the Colony in these types of matches before. Will we see Soldier Ant and the Colony: Xtreme Force come together and score another victory? Can the Colony put these new ants away? Will assailANT avenge his loss against them?
