Eddie Kingston and Jimmy Jacobs will clash at “Diamonds Are Forever” in Chicago, IL on June 21st (evening card).
For two and a half years, Eddie’s roll within CHIKARA was easily defined: he was THE Grand Champion. The guy to beat. The top of the class. Despite his aggressive nature and sometimes negative attitude towards the company and the CHIKARMY, Kingston always carried the company name on his back no matter where he went. He took great pride in holding the title, so much so that others speculated that being champion consumed him. A large sector of the audience even turned their back on the War King. It was also strange that when CHIKARA shut down, he wanted nothing to do with the effort to bring the company back, even when confronted by Icarus himself at a Ring of Honor show. Icarus would end up being the man to dethrone Kingston, making him submit to the CHIKARA Special at “You Only Live Twice” in Kingston’s 15th defense of that title.
Going into the Midwest weekend, Kingston’s role is unknown. His adversary, Jimmy Jacobs, the presumed leader of the monstrous “Flood” faction, is a complete wildcard. The two are now strangers to each other, facing off in a six man tag back on Night 3 of the 2005 Tag World Grand Prix, as well as “The Dark Ciberknetico” in November of 2012, but both men are coming in under completely different circumstances. Some cryptic tweets from Kingston makes it seem like he may be bowing out of action for some time. Those who lead an army are known to prey on the weak in an attempt for a conversion. With Kingston going into his first battle since losing the Grand Championship, could this be a time when Jacobs tries to take all of Eddie’s frustrations regarding CHIKARA and it’s fan base and try to use it to the Flood’s advantage? It’s possible Kingston will throw in one last ditch effort to take down THE guy behind CHIKARA’s biggest threat for the company deep down he loves and is passionate about. This match has a lot of potential layers, and it will be interesting to see how things shakedown come June 21st.

Full Free Match: Qefka the Quiet vs. “Chainsaw” Joe Gacy from CZW’s Dojo Wars I

It’s a battle of gentleman, as the man behind “Gentlemania”, Jervis Cottonbelly, will take on the self-proclaimed “Kentucky Gentleman”, Chuck Taylor, where CHIKARA returns to Detroit, MI on June 22nd for “Goldfinger.”
Of course, the term gentleman means different things for these fellows. While this will be a first time meeting in CHIKARA, the two did face each other last year for Wrestling is Heart’s “Circulate” event where Taylor got the duke. For Cottonbelly, a win over Taylor could mean big things for his future. After all, Taylor is one of the most decorated CHIKARA athletes of all. Which gentleman will rebound from their loss at “You Only Live Twice?”

Worker Ant takes on deviANT when CHIKARA returns to Chicago for “Quantum of Solace” (matinee card) on Saturday June 21st.
Of course, Worker Ant came into CHIKARA as assailANT, a member of the Swarm/GEKIDO with deviANT. Wink Vavasseur’s shake up saw assailANT join up with Fire and Green Ant where his tune immediately changed and he did the best he could to be accepted. While the crowd were able to accept the big bruiser, it wasn’t until National Pro Wrestling Day 2014 when Fire and Green Ant fully began to trust assailANT and accept him as their own, gifting him the outfit of former Colony member Worker Ant, the persona he now dons. Of course, deviANT’s message of taking down CHIKARA’s infrastructure, and now the two former partners are now enemies. Which of the two ants will come out victorious in the Windy City?

Some ex-38 studios developers want to Kickstart a game based on popular indie wrestling league CHIKARA…but it’s not a wrestling game. Alex sits down with Rotary Games’ Jared Hall-Dugas and Jesse Smith to find out just what Rudo Resurrection is all about.

At “You Only Live Twice”, a mysterious masked mauler eliminated Kobald from CHIKARA entirely. The Batiri now have more reason than ever to go after the massive Flood army who are looking to destroy CHIKARA. One group in particular, The Odditorium, got under their skin after delivering a low blow and attacking the group after their Trios encounter at “You Only Live Twice.” Obariyon and Kodama, the two remaining members of The Batiri, will get the opportunity to get their hands on the Odditorium (Qefka the Quiet & Oliver Grimsly) at “Diamonds Are Forever” on June 21st in Chicago, IL.
